Vancouver, Canada to Sydney, Australia

We took the 4am airport shuttle from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Vancouver Airport for our 6am United flight to San Francisco.

After asking, we were given Economy Extra seats at the gate since we were in full fare Y. We visited the Priority Pass lounge before our departure and had a small breakfast.

The flight had a great sunrise.

There were also wonderful views of San Francisco just before landing.

We had a few hours in San Francisco before our ANA business class 777-300 flight to Tokyo Narita.

This flight had a good bit of light turbulence, but was overall a great flight.

Once at Narita we had about seven hours to connect to our flight from Hanada. We took a limousine bus to downtown Tokyo and went to our favorite Japanese ramen chain: Ichiran. It was just a delicious as we’d remembered.

After enjoying some ramen, we took the subway on to Hanada airport. We rested in the lounge until it was time for our ANA business class flight to Sydney.

This flight left Japan late at night and would arrive in Sydney the next morning, so Katie slept most of the flight. JT slept a little but then got distracted by movies.

Once in Sydney, we took a Air Train to Circular Quay and walked to Sydney Harbor YHA.
