Blue Whale Motor Inn (Warrnambool, Australia)

We stayed at the Blue Whale Motor Inn in Warrnambool the night before we started driving the Great Ocean Road. It’s called the Blue Whale because it has a large blue whale statue out front – since we were there in December, the whale had a Christmas hat. It was really cute.

The owner offered us complementary fresh milk at check-in for our coffee. We were given room 25, which was at the back of the property but had a strong (although slow) wifi signal.

Our room was large, with a queen bed, couch, and renovated bathroom. There was a chair and a desk, but the microwave took up all of the desk space.

The motor inn was just off the Great Ocean road and only a minute or two drive from downtown Warrnambool. It’s location was very convenient. Each room had an allocated parking spot, so parking was easy.

The motor inn was simple, but had everything we needed.  The owner was really friendly.  We’d recommend it.
